Healing the Father and Mother Wound
Learn How to Heal the Hole in Your Chest Many participants come to heal their father wound that has left them unable to establish boundaries, maintain healthy relationships, manage and contain personal life choices and work well with authority. The father wound will manifest itself through procrastination, self-sabotage, over-extending and over functioning and the inability to manage money, credit cards and personal schedules. All addictions are an unconscious attempt to replace the father’s “container”. Until your father’s container is rebuilt and restored addictions and compulsions will abound. Others have come to heal their mother wound that has left them with emotional paralysis, frozen feelings or enmeshment, negative body image, fear of sexuality and sensuality, or an inability to relate to self, God and others. Until your mother’s contributions “the fluid that fill your father’s container” is restored, a person will be burdened with unmet longings and desires and attract abusive and punitive relationships with others. Both the mother and father wound can be healed and the adult life skills needed to become a fully functional adult can be achieved.
